We merge over two decades of diverse healing practices to curate an integrative approach that supports each horse we work with as an individual. Drawing upon a rich tapestry of modalities and guided by intuition, we strive to instill ease and foster positive transformations within the equine body.

We firmly believe in the interconnectedness of all beings; healing the horse reverberates to benefit both horse and rider. Through our focus on the equine body's innate capabilities and movement patterns, we work to optimize functionality and structural integrity, aligning with the horse's natural biomechanics for improved performance and overall well-being.

In a world where convenience often trumps health, we recognize the tendency for domestic horses to adopt suboptimal movement patterns. By facilitating the horse's access to its muscles and tissues in their most authentic movement, we aim to mitigate dysfunction and pave the way for enhanced performance and vitality. Our ultimate goal? To reduce reliance on the drugs and injections that have become so commonplace in the equine industry, and to foster harmonious partnerships between horses and humans rooted in holistic wellness.

Our passion lies in empowering horses to move with grace and purpose, enriching their lives and the lives of those who care for them.

Kim Lucien Equine Bodyworker in Los Angeles Equine Bodyworker in Ventura Myofascial Bodywork Cold Laser Therapy

About Kim Lucien

Kim has dedicated the past two decades to an extensive exploration of diverse healing modalities, encompassing both energetic and physical approaches. From Energetic Synthesis of Structural Embodiment (ESSE), Energetic Manual Therapy (EMT) to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), as well as numerous spiritual energy-based modalities, her breadth of knowledge is vast.

Particularly close to her heart are the ancient Hawaiian healing arts, in which she holds a Master Kahuna certification across multiple modalities. After a decade of serving clients in human-centered practices, Kim transitioned her focus to working with animals, with a particular emphasis on equine therapy. Over the past two years, she has collaborated with Dean Murray, refining her expertise in myofascial bodywork techniques that form the cornerstone of her practice today. Kim's current work centers on facilitating deeper connections between horses and their owners, harnessing intuitive awareness and communication to promote holistic well-being.

In Memory of Dean Murray

Dean Murray is renowned in the Los Angeles horse community, particularly in dressage and hunter/jumper circles. After a career spanning decades teaching various fighting techniques to police forces, military, and special forces, he transitioned his focus to bodywork.

His mastery of diverse fighting techniques stemmed from his profound understanding of human biomechanics, acquired while training fighters and subsequently fixing them when injured. Often the last resort for individuals in pain, he garnered referrals from pain management doctors due to his unparalleled ability to alleviate issues deemed untreatable by traditional medicine, preventing surgeries and offering relief from chronic pain.

Early in his bodywork career, while working with an Olympic equestrian, he was inspired to apply his techniques to horses, thus igniting his passion for equine welfare and performance enhancement. Though not a rider himself, Dean's dedication to helping horses feel, move, and perform better brought him immense joy, and he owned several Grand Prix horses throughout his life. His legacy includes numerous instances where his interventions saved horses from dire prognoses, defying veterinary expectations. Sadly, Dean passed away unexpectedly in 2023 after a brief battle with cancer, halting plans to document his techniques and organize clinics and workshops.

Having spent significant time learning and working alongside him in his final years, Kim's goal is to preserve and expand upon his contributions to ensure they continue to benefit as many horses as possible. Kim remains deeply grateful for the privilege of learning from Dean and is committed to carrying forward his invaluable legacy.
